Field Service Technician
Department: Service Department

Job Summary: Responsible for repairing, maintaining, calibrating, adjusting, and installing B149.1:20 Burner Management Systems, CWT dry line heaters & metrology proving equipment. Other responsibilities will include consulting with customers to determine tests and maintenance procedures for instruments used for measuring and controlling flow, level, pressure, temperature, and other variables in manufacturing and processing.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Inspect and test operation of equipment systems to diagnose faults
· Calibrate components and instruments
· Install control and measurement instruments on existing and new equipment and processes
· Ensure that the required maintenance activities are completed in a manner that promotes safety as the first priority
· Stays current with applicable government regulations
· Actively participates in the implementation and daily routines of the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System
· Attend monthly safety meetings as required by the site you report into
· Prepare requisition materials and supplies as needed for Service Department, to submit to your manager for financial review and approval
· Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity to Service
· Actively participates and cooperates with internal/external ISO Audits
· Perform service and maintenance on CWT Heaters
· Prepare reports- Submittal of expenses, KM Logs, calibration reports, service tickets, service logs, etc.
- Fosters a spirit of cooperation between co-workers, operators, trades, and technical staff to achieve overall goals
· Inventory management, ensure all inventory is logged when removed or restocked to service trucks or service supply
· Regular maintenance of tools and equipment
· Other duties as assigned up to and including being cross-trained for PLC installation & prover wiring
Qualifications
· Two (2) years of work experience
· Possess a valid driver’s license & ability to fly or drive to locations throughout the USA
· Mechanical or electrical engineering or engineering technician degree or equivalent experience,
· General knowledge of thermodynamics (basic gas laws, compressibility)
· General knowledge of upstream and downstream natural gas

· Regular travel is necessary (20,000 to 50,000 miles annually, either air or land), valid driver’s license a necessity.
* Salary is commensurate with experience and will be negotiated accordingly
*Other locations ideal for this position include: Central Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan near airport hub
